North Dakota Dakota Gold Transfer–Plaza LLC is planning to build Plaza Terminal, a crude-oil transload facility in Plaza. Located on a 350-acre site, the terminal will collect crude oil produced in Mountrail and surrounding counties, and the Canadian Pacific railroad will serve the terminal. The terminal will include two loop tracks with storage for one or two more trains on a rail spur; a covered loading barn; a 14-arm system for loading a unit train; 15 truck unloading bays; and three 103,000-barrel storage tanks. The terminal will have a throughput capacity of 70,000 barrels per day and storage capacity of over 300,000 barrels.
