UPCOMING EDITORIAL CONTESTS, TOP LISTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

 

Top Design Firms Ranking: ENR ranks the top design firms regionally, nationally and internationally. For information on the national and international rankings, visit enr.com/toplists/survey . ENR's Regional Editions began accepting survey submissions for their Top Design Firms rankings on Feb. 4. Each region picks one firm as its "Design Firm of the Year" from that year's survey participants. Visit this page to submit your firm's information for inclusion on one of ENR's Regional Top Design Firms rankings. The Regional Top Design Firms surveys have closed for this year. The resulting rankings began publishing online in April.

Top Contractors Ranking: ENR ranks the top contractors regionally, nationally and internationally. For information on the national and international rankings, visit enr.com/toplists/survey . ENR's Regional U.S. Top Contractors surveys opened for submissions on Feb. 18, 2019. Each region picks one firm as its "Contractor of the Year" from that year's survey participants. Visit this page to submit your firm's information for inclusion on one of ENR's Regional Top Contractors rankings. The May 11 deadline for all of ENR's Regional Top Contractors surveys has passed, but many of these surveys remain open. Please contact the respective regional editor listed below for more information.

ENR Photo Contest: ENR invites readers to submit photos to its annual The Year In Construction photo contest in the fall. Each year ENR asks our picture-taking readers — individuals and firms, amateurs and pros — to submit their best construction photos taken anywhere in the world between during the past year. We then look for dynamic, well-composed and aesthetically pleasing photos; but only those that show safe conditions and behavior. A panel of judges from ENR, with guests, recently selected the best of the best photos submitted for publication in ENR. The winning photos were published each January. You can view past ENR Year in Construction winners' Gallery online. The call for submissions will go out in Fall 2020 for the next cycle. 

Regional Best Projects Competition We seek entries for our annual awards program, which is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them. Projects compete in specialized categories, ranging from airports to sports/entertainment. You can learn more about the contest and enter at www.enr.com/bestprojectsThe final deadline for entries is June 19 .

Best of the Best Projects: For the national competition, category winners from ENR's Regional competitions are automatically moved forward. No additional entry or fee is required.

ENR Global Best Projects: Projects can be located anywhere in the world, including the U.S., but at least one firm involved in the project should be working outside their home country. Globally diverse project teams are encouraged to submit. You can find out more info here: enr.com/bestprojects/global  The deadline for entries into the 2020 Global Best Projects competition was June 1, 2020.

Top Specialty Contractors Ranking: this ranking is for contractors who specialize in trades such as concrete, electrical, demolition, excavation, etc. You can also participate if you self-perform these trades. ENR ranks the top specialty contractors regionally, nationally and internationally. For information on the national and international rankings, visit enr.com/toplists/survey . To participate in the regional U.S. Top Specialty Contractors survey, please visit this page to get started on the survey. Each region picks one firm as its "Specialty Contractor of the Year" from the submissions. The deadline for ENR's Regional Top Specialty Contractors survey has been extended to May 29, 2020.

Top Young Professionals: This annual program profiles up-and-coming leaders in the design and construction industry. The article appears in the first issues of the year for each of the respective ENR Regional Editions. Entries will be requested in the late spring; the deadline for this year's contest has not yet been determined, but will likely be earlier than in years past. For more information, view last year's information page here: enr.com/top-young-professionals   The deadline for this year's Regional Top Young Professionals contest is July 31, 2020. 

National Top 20 Under 40: For the national competition, winners of Top Young Professionals will automatically be entered. No additional entry is required. 

Legacy Award: The Legacy Award honors industry veterans with many years of experience and long lists of contributions to their profession and community. We’ll be looking for nominees with a history of innovation, outstanding career highlights and an engagement within the industry and the surrounding community. Visit enr.com/legacy-award for more info and how to submit. The call for entries goes out in the summer. 

Regional Top Starts: Each regional publication ranks the largest starts of the previous year. The list is compiled via research and input from the construction community in January and February. You can email your regional editor directly if you have a project you think would be applicable.
