Here is a video of a tornado crossing the Memorial Bridge in Springfield, Massachusetts two days ago.

The Memorial Bridge  crosses the Connecticut River between Springfield and West Springfield.  It was designed by Fay, Spofford & Thorndike and opened in 1922.  FST also participated in rehabilitation work in the 1990's.  As the tornado passed over the bridge, no major injuries occurred.  However, the truck seen near the end of the bridge in the video tipped over.  The driver was OK.

The tornado, having already inflicted damage in West Sprinfield and towns further west, moved on into downtown Spingfield where several buildings were severely damaged.  The storm then continued on to smaller towns east of Springfield, causing damage and destruction to many homes and businesses.  Four people died and many were injured.
