A panel of industry judges selected 23 winning projects from 14 different countries on six continents for ENR’s 2018 Global Best Projects Awards. These exemplary projects demonstrate the risks and rewards—and the hurdles overcome—of designing and building internationally. Looking at projects in many markets, the judges examined design and construction challenges, benefits to the local community and dedication to quality, innovation and safety, with a special emphasis on the diversity of global project teams and their collaboration. An elegant and sustainable rail project utilizing innovative construction techniques was selected by the panel of judges and ENR editors as the Project of the Year. All the projects will be recognized on Oct. 2 in New York City at an awards dinner at the Edison Ballroom. For more information on attending, visit www.globalbestprojects.com.
