Planning Maryland Center for the Arts Inc. is planning to develop the Center for the Visual and Performing Arts on a 41-acre site in Abingdon. Preliminary plans call for three theaters, ranging from 100 to 1,200 seats; art galleries; classrooms; a heritage museum and parking for several hundred cars. H3 Hardy Collaboration is the designer. Massachusetts The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is planning to repair the 3,000-ft-long north jetty at Newburyport Harbor in Salisbury. The work involves placing 25,000 tons of 1- to 12-ton armor stone to fill in existing gaps and will include substantial moving and rehandling of existing stones to obtain the required interlocking placement.
