Over the summer, BP marked the safe start-up of the Manuel project in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the fourth of five major projects the energy company expects to deliver globally in 2021.
Shell Chemical announced Nov. 30 its final investment decision to increase alpha olefins production at its existing chemical manufacturing site in Geismar, La. As part of the plan, Shell will construct a fourth AO unit, adding 425,000 tonnes of capacity.
