It's Thursday, Jan. 6, and I am driving down to Orlando tonight to prepare the final touches on our conference.

Hard to believe it's finally here, a new conference on construction CPM. In case you can get here, it's January 12 – 15, 2011, at the Swan & Dolphin Resort, Walt Disney World FL.

Barring any last minute flurry of registrants, we are expecting the crowd to be 200, and all our speakers and sponsors and the Swan are working hard to make this THE event for serious users of CPM.

As pointed out to me by one of our earliest boosters and sponsors, we have a veritable “who’s who” of the cream of the CPM scheduling world – in speakers and in attendees.

The economy has not helped, and some have held back to the last moment (and my computer continues to “ding” every so often with another registrant), and some will not make it this year but send email to put on the mailing list for next year.

We have 100 sessions.TEN different CPM software products explained at the introductory (and some also at advanced) level.

Sessions on THEORY and sessions on PRACTICE. And sessions on the associated fields of Cost, EVM, BIM, and Document Control. Our “litigation track” comprising one of seven tracks on Saturday, has been approved by the Florida Bar for 8 hours of continuing legal education. PMI will provide up to 24 PDU’s for attendees. Most model law states should approve up to 24 hours for continuing education for professional engineers.

We also have the Oracle One-on-One Clinic running through the entire conference with Oracle Primavera experts providing custom assistance and advice to our attendees.

We have entertainment, from our Wednesday night Welcome Reception (sponsored by Oracle), Thursday Happy Hour Networking Reception (sponsored by Deltek), late Thursday night One-Last-Drink at Atlantic Dance on Disney’s Boardwalk (sponsored by EnProMaC), Friday night Dessert & Fireworks Reception at our reserved viewing area overlooking the lake at EPCOT, followed by admission to Extra Hours at EPCOT to midnight (sponsored by Microsoft), and Saturday afternoon’s closing Sweet & Salty Break (sponsored once again by Oracle). And discounted Swan rates.

And discounted Disney park tickets. All this and more may be reviewed on our website www.ConstructionCPM.com.

I am proud to have envisioned, prepared and executed this event. I could not have done it without the help of all of our advisors, speakers and sponsors.

And I am looking forward to seeing many of you at our event.
