Arizona
Invenergy LLC is considering constructing up to three natural gas-fired power plants at not-yet-selected sites in Maricopa and Yuma counties. Each project scope includes design and construction of building space and foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel and fuel storage tanks; and purchase and installation of turbine and generator sets, water treatment and storage systems, cooling towers, transformers, switchgear and emissions control equipment. Construction schedules will be developed following site selection. Invenergy is also planning to construct a natural gas-fired, simple-cycle peaking power plant in Darien, Wis., and two simple-cycle natural gas-fired power plants in Texas. Georgia
Element Six is planning to construct an estimated $600-million synthetic diamond grit plant at a not-yet-selected site in Georgia. Project scope includes design and construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and installation of chemical storage tanks, chemical vapor deposition reactors and laser cutting, grinding, polishing, flow control and packaging equipment and systems. The company will use the plant to produce synthetic diamond grit for the semiconductor, automotive and oil and gas industries. Montana
U.S. Energy Corp. is planning to construct a helium gathering system and processing plant at the Kevin Dome in Toole County. The estimated $52.2-million project’s scope includes laying of pipe; clearing, grading, trenching, pipe stringing, welding, coating, backfilling, testing and restoration; construction of building space and equipment foundations; and installation of storage tanks and dehydration, separation, evaporation, compression, gas processing, pressure regulating and CO₂ capture and sequestration equipment and systems. The plant will have the capacity to produce 12 million cu ft of helium and 125,000 metric tons of merchant-grade CO₂ per year. Construction of gathering pipelines was expected to begin in April 2026.
