Scorpius BioManufacturing and Heat Biologics are planning to build the Scorpius Biological Services Biomanufacturing Plant in Manhattan. The plant will contain 48 bioreactors to be used for large molecule and biologics manufacturing. It is being designed by Clark Richardson & Kiskup. The builder-developers are Midwest Concrete Materials Inc. and Realty Trust Group. Construction is expected to start in November 2024 and be completed by July 2026. MICHIGAN

The Oakland Hills Country Club is planning to build a new clubhouse to replace the old one that was destroyed in a fire in 2022. The new 110,000-sq-ft clubhouse will include a two-level men’s locker room, three kitchens, ballrooms, a women’s locker room, a cigar room and dining rooms. It has been designed by Neumann/Smith Architecture and Clark Construction Co. has been chosen as the general contractor. Construction is expected to start in April 2024 and be completed by May 2026. NEVADA

Clark County School District is planning to replace the Indian Springs elementary, middle and high school buildings. The project entails abatement and demolition of the existing buildings, and construction of a new building and ball fields on the 37.2-acre site at 400 Sky Road in Indian Springs. It is being designed by George M. Rogers, Architect, who is also serving as the construction manager-at-risk. Construction is expected to start in December 2025 and be completed by May 2027. NEW JERSEY

River Development Equities LLC and Russo Development Inc. are planning to develop the Vermella East Brunswick mixed-use development on a 44-acre site in East Brunswick at the intersection of State Route 18 and Lake Avenue. Ultimately it will include more than 1,200 residential units, a transit center and retail, entertainment and hospitality components with amenities and open spaces like dog parks, pedestrian walkways and recreational pavilions. Phase 1, on 12.9 acres of the site, includes one mixed-use building with about 306 residential rental units; 11,322 sq ft of retail space; 12,871 sq ft of retail/medical office space; 8,375 sq ft of restaurant space and another building with 5,160 sq ft of restaurant space. It is being designed by Rotwein & Blake Architects, and Russo Development is serving as the general contractor. Construction is expected to start in July 2024. The project is valued at $120 million. NORTH CAROLINA

Criteria Development is planning to develop the East Lake subdivision on a 2,120-acre site at the intersection of Malmo Loop Road NE and Interstate 140 in Leland. It will include a mix of single-family homes, multifamily homes, commercial properties and 602 acres to be kept as protected wetlands. Hard Rock Construction has started carrying out the Carrollton Basin No. 18 Sewer Rehabilitation Project in New Orleans. The project consists of the rehabilitation of existing main line sanitary sewers via mainline cleaning and CCTV inspections, excavated point repairs, full-length main line replacements, house connection service lateral replacements, full-length cured-in-place pipe lining, service lateral cured-in-place pipe lining and manhole rehabilitation. The project is located in the Carrollton neighborhoods in Orleans Parish, bounded by I-10 to the north and east, the Pontchartrain Expressway to the east, the Mississippi River to the south and Jefferson Parish to the west.
