Grangegorman University, the campus project at Technological University Dublin, is part of a major urban development program initiated by the Irish government in 2010. The facilities will be used by 10,000 incoming students as well as staff.

The project consisted of two separate structures, the east quad building and the central quad building. The central quad features academic facilities for health sciences, engineering and environment and arts and tourism. The structure spans nearly 400,000 sq ft.

The 182,000-sq-ft east quad has five levels and includes additional facilities for arts and tourism, including a 400-seat performance hall, a recital hall and a theater, all of which will be open to the local community.

The project was among the first in Europe to use building information modeling (BIM), a digital tool that enabled the different members of the project team to collaborate effectively. Safety was a top priority; a health and safety plan that exceeded European and Irish requirements was implemented to ensure the well-being of the team.

Construction broke ground in March 2018, and the project was completed on budget during the first quarter of 2021.
