AMLI Residential and Pope & Land Enterprises plan to develop the AMLI Lake Hearn mixed-use project in Brookhaven. The 21-acre site was formerly occupied by the Cox Enterprises headquarters. The project entails replacing the existing office building at 1400 Lake Hearn Drive with a 629-unit apartment complex and a 25,000-sq-ft commercial center. In addition there will be a 5-acre public park on the south end of the campus. AMLI Residential will also serve as the general contractor. IDAHO

Cascade River LLC is planning to build the River District mixed-use development in Cascade. It will feature 443 homes on 121 acres along the North Fork of the Payette River. It will include 135 single family lots, nine cottage lots, 43 townhouse lots, 52 multifamily lots, 11 commercial lots and 34 common lots. The project is valued at between $25 million and $50 million. MICHIGAN

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to construct a new Soo Lock in Sault Ste. Marie, which will replace two inactive locks, the Davis and Sabin Locks. NEW YORK

The New York City Depts. of Environmental Protection and Parks & Recreation plan to daylight Tibbetts Brook in the Bronx. A mile-long section of tunnel that has been conveying the water of Tibbetts Brook into the city sewer system since 1912 will be demolished and the brook rerouted above ground. The removal of the brook water from the sewer system will end up reducing sewer overflow into the Harlem River by 25%, as well as reduce the volume of fresh water that is treated unnecessarily. The daylighted section will be turned into a new greenway before being sent back underground for a half mile in a new dedicated pipe to the Harlem River. The project will also include improvements to the pond in Van Cortlandt Park and construction of new pedestrian and bike trails in an underused park section that will connect to the new greenway on a former railroad right-of-way. TENNESSEE

The City of Memphis is planning to construct a 2-million-gallon stormwater tank to help prevent sanitary sewer overflows. This project is being carried out to satisfy a consent decree the city has with the EPA. It will be located in North Memphis, east of the Maynard Stiles Wastewater Treatment Plant. Beta Technologies plans to build a 344,000-sq-ft manufacturing plant on its 40-acre campus in South Burlington, adjacent to the Burlington International Airport. 5/17 The City of Enid is seeking subcontractor bidders to carry out the Kaw Lake Water Supply Program. The program consists of four primary infrastructure construction projects: a microtunnel intake to withdraw water from Kaw Lake; 70 miles of raw water conveyance pipeline; a new, 10.5-million-gallon-per-day water treatment plant, and distribution system improvements.
