Alabama Benjamin Moore & Co. is planning to expand its paint manufacturing plant in the Pell City Industrial Park in Pell City. The project scope includes construction of building space; and purchase and installation of raw material storage tanks, stainless-steel mixing tanks, conveyors, and dispersion, blending, filling and packaging equipment. Missouri Ameren Corporation is planning to upgrade its coal-fired power plant, the Rush Island Energy Center, in Festus. The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of a flue gas desulfurization unit with a reheater, mist eliminator, scrubber, slurry and effluent tanks, and a sludge removal system. Ohio Cargill, Inc. is planning to expand its soybean processing facility in Sidney. The project scope includes construction of building space; and purchase and installation of storage silos and bins, conveyors, hammermills, and cleaning, crushing, extraction and packaging equipment. Construction is expected to begin in the first or second quarter of 2020. Cargill uses the facility to crush soybeans and produce refined oils. The estimated EPC cost is $225 million. The project will increase production capacity by 600,000 metric tons of soda ash per year. Construction is expected to begin in 2020. The estimated EPC cost is $150 million.
