GE Johnson Construction Co. Inc. and Schmueser & Associates Inc. have formed a joint venture. General contractor GE Johnson has offices in both Denver and Colorado Springs, and Schmueser & Associates is a direct-hire industrial general contractor that serves the western United States.

Company officials say that the partnership further aligns the strategic growth and development plans of both firms. The move will allow S&A to draw on the corporate support and resources of GE Johnson Holdings while maintaining the S&A’s own brand and identity.

S&A says it will retain all leadership and management roles within the company,  including President Larry Schmueser II. The joint venture will function as Schmueser & Associates LLC, a subsidiary of GE Johnson Holdings.

“This joint venture will allow both firms to leverage our collective resources to better meet the needs of our customers and employees and create a diverse, skilled workforce to enhance the quality of our services,” said GE Johnson President and CEO Jim Johnson. “We are very excited to have Larry and his team join the GE Johnson family.”

“This collaboration with GE Johnson will enhance our ability to recruit, train and retain qualified people who are crucial to our growth and continued success,” said Larry Schmueser II.

“Because we share the same commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction, this joint venture is a natural progression for S&A, as it will provide an opportunity to better serve our existing customers and a platform from which to expand our client base and service area to the Front Range of Colorado and central regions.”
