Crane Safety Rails: Meets OSHA Rules
Crane Safety Rails: Meets OSHA Rules

Safety handrails are now a standard feature on all Liebherr crawler cranes, and a retrofit handrail package is available for existing cranes. The handrails are intended to protect against falls where it can be difficult for operators and maintenance technicians to tie off a safety harness and are compliant with OSHA fall height regulations. They are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel and do not require any maintenance. On Liebherr HS series crawler cranes like the one seen at right, the handrails can be pulled out and removed for transport, while on LR series cranes they can be folded down by releasing a few pins.
