TCEQ’s Clean Texas program, which is designed to reward organizations whose environmental performance goes beyond compliance with environmental laws, added three companies to the more than 100 organizations in Texas that are recognized for being committed to environmental improvements in their communities.

Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions in Garland, Toshiba International’s Industrial Division in Houston and Firestone Building Products in Corsicana each received platinum-level membership. ASMO Manufacturing in Ennis received silver-level membership.

Clean Texas members commit to protect and conserve the state’s natural resources.

ASMO Manufacturing committed to reducing energy use and air emissions. Firestone committed to reducing nonhazardous waste and energy, assisting in cleanup events, promoting environmental education and sponsoring Texas Recycles Day and Earth Day events.

Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions committed to reducing hazardous waste, air emissions and energy use and assisting local businesses with energy conservation projects. Toshiba International, Industrial Division, committed to reducing hazardous air pollutants, energy use, packaging and raw materials and to cleaning up parks and planting trees in its community.
