The renovation of the Patrick B. Roche Memorial Baseball Facility for Kids earned a 2012 ABC Excellence in Construction Award for Greeleys Roche Constructors Inc. in the Community/Public Service category.

The Excellence in Construction program provides ABC-member general contractors and specialty contractors a forum to showcase their projects that are the premier representation of their work. The ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter’s EIC awards competition is patterned after ABC National’s EIC program. It is the first step to compete at the national level.

ABC Rocky Mountain received 19 entries for 2012. A panel of eight judges reviewed the award submissions.
Criteria included factors such as complexity, unusual challenges or problems overcome, innovative techniques or programs, value engineering, safety records and owner satisfaction. Any project completed before October 12 by an ABC member in good standing was eligible for the competition.
