The University of South Carolina has embarked on its largest capital project in school history, Campus Village, navigating tight spaces and supply chain issues to stay on track.
Set on a busy corner in downtown Berkeley, Calif., the whimsical appearance of the Telegraph-Haste Student Housing project reflects its vibrant college environment. Above a faux-rock facade, the 55-unit building features an amalgamation of timber, tile, iron accents and mismatched shutters.
The renovation of two historic residence halls originally built in the 1940s required updating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and HVAC systems, as well as updating restrooms, lounges, kitchens and dorm rooms.
