Best of the Best Competition
Finalists Selected for ENR's 2025 US Project of the Year

Finalists include Fab 52, Hurricane Ian Sanibel Access Project and Klamath River Renewal Project
After a year-long effort that began with more than 800 entries, industry judges and ENR editors have selected a trio of complex and critical projects as Project of the Year finalists in ENR’s 2025 Best of the Best competition.
Earlier this month, the 20 category winners were announced, selected by multiple rounds of judging. Panels of industry experts reviewed hundreds of nationwide entries submitted by the project teams and evaluated them based on their impact to the community, improvement to construction industry practices, design innovation, safety and quality of work.
From a shortlist provided by the judges, ENR editors examined each project, considered additional sources for new detail and selected the following three projects as finalists for the ‘Best in Show’ award:
In alphabetical order, they are:
Fab 52 (Project Eagle), located in Chandler, Ariz. Originally submitted by Hoffman Construction to ENR Mountain States & Southwest in the Manufacturing category
Hurricane Ian Sanibel Access Project, located in Sanibel, Fla. Originally submitted by Superior-de Moya Joint Venture Team to ENR Texas & Southeast in the Highway/Bridge category
Klamath River Renewal Project, located in Hornbrook, Calif. Originally submitted by Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. to ENR West in the Water/Environment category
