The facility will be the home of many educational programs at the Utah Botanical Center for Utah State University. The primary function is a center of activity for UBC field trips, which are attended by more than 4,000 school-age children each year. Submitted by Jacobsen Construction Elizabeth Hall is a 94,300-sq-ft facility consisting primarily of classrooms, computer labs, teaching spaces and administrative areas. The three-story building replaces single-story Buildings 1 and 2, two of the four original structures that have housed numerous departments and offices for more than 50 years on the Harrison Boulevard campus. The project is located at the Northwest corner of Idaho Center Boulevard and Franklin Road in Nampa. The steel frame with stucco and brick exterior banking facility includes offices, teller stations, a vault and a drive-up/ATM canopy area. This was accomplished using a tilt-up concrete system and design-build. The new facility was designed and constructed with Yesco’s Lean Manufacturing in mind. Submitted by Rimrock Construction Gregory & Swapp Professional Office is a four-story office containing 74,924 sq ft. There is a secured, underground parking garage beneath the building that houses 52 parking stalls. The biggest challenge the design and construction team faced was the re-design of the HVAC system after the entire steel structure was completed. The project team identified that a more sophisticated and efficient HVAC system should be used. Submitted by Big-D Construction Newpark Town Center is a live, work, play community located six miles from Old Town Park City, a half-mile from the Olympic Village, four miles from the Canyons and seven miles from Deer Valley. The Town Center is on the western edge of the 1,100-acre Swanner Nature Preserve.
