The $108-million project enhances multimodal access to Randall’s Island recreational amenities by replacing aging infrastructure with two new vehicular ramps that eliminate substandard left-hand merges and reduce congestion.

As the world’s first vertically stacked film studio, the 145-ft-tall, 775,000-sq-ft structure yields eleven 60-ft-tall column-free sound stages—five at grade and six two stories above, each spanning roughly 18,000 sq ft.

Replacing former garden-style apartment buildings, the new side-by-side buildings create a vibrant, high-density community totaling more than 320 units while also setting new benchmarks for sustainable housing.

Originally constructed in the early 1900s using materials recovered from dredging operations in nearby waterways, the seawall supports Farragut Field—a multipurpose outdoor space—as well as waterfront Brown Park.

The renovation includes major structural expansions at the North Gate of M&T Bank Stadium that provide increased program options for game day and non-game day experiences, along with upgrades to the stadium’s club and suite level.
