Specialty contractors in the five-state region of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas reported strong performance in 2021, according to the results of ENR Texas & Louisiana’s annual Top Specialty Contractors survey.
Like almost all of the construction industry, specialty contractors on the West Coast endured a challenging 2020. Many were relieved this past year to see stalled work move ahead while new projects stayed the course. Generally, firms saw improved revenue in 2021, but challenges remain as many also reported mixed results.

Despite industry-wide increased material costs and labor shortages, specialty contractors in the New York and New England regions have bounced back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
