The D220-x300 Navigator HDD directional drill is able to deliver 240,000 lb of thrust or pullback and 30,000 ft-lb of rotational torque. An integrated mud pump has a maximum capacity of 330 gpm and can provide sufficient flow of drilling fluid for large-dia pipe pullback. A built-in rod stager can stage up to five rods at a time. The machine has a footprint of only 27 ft by 8.5 ft and uses a 20-ft rod instead of the 34-ft Range II drill pipe, which is standard for this drill size.
