Product Snapshot: Hydraulic-Powered Riding Trowel and Slipform Paver Bar Inserter

The Allen HDX 750 Hydraulic-Powered Riding Trowel is powered by a 74-hp Kubota turbo-diesel engine. It features all-hydraulic proportional joystick power steering, with independent hydraulic blade-pitch controls in each joystick. The 60-in.-dia, six-blade rotors are aligned for uniform blade and pan coverage. The working area is illuminated by six built-in lights on the front, sides and back of the trowel. Raised foot pedals, an adjustable seat and armrests allow for greater operator comfort. The riding trowel also has a built-in spray system for retardant application. Previously available only on the 5400 Series mold, the 5400 Series bar inserter is now available on 3100 and 5000 Series molds on Gomaco slipform concrete pavers. The bar inserter loads from the work bridge on the back of the paver and inserts the bar in front of the mold. When the inserter is mounted on the mold, changes to the crown profile can be made while still maintaining constant bar depth in the concrete. Guides on the side of the bar inserter keep each bar parallel to the top of the slab. The Gomaco G+ control system is used to control the process and timing of the bar insertion.
