The Sokkia FX Total Station has an operating distance of 1,640 ft without a prism and 13,120 ft with a prism. A built-in Bluetooth connection allows for survey data to be linked wirelessly to a data collector. It runs Windows CE6 with Sokkia MAGNET field application software. The total station features TSshield, a security and maintenance system that provides firmware updates and allows the unit to be disabled remotely if it is lost or stolen. The ZX160LC-5 Excavator is replacing the ZX160LC-3 in Hitachi's Dash 5 line. The 121-hp Isuzu Interim Tier 4 diesel engine employs exhaust-gas recirculation and a diesel particulate filter to meet EPA standards. The excavator's hydraulics feature three work modes: High Productivity for faster hydraulic response, Power for balance of speed and fuel economy during normal use, and Economy to maximize fuel efficiency. The BM500/15 Milling Machine has a cutting width of 23.6 inches, with a maximum cutting depth of 8.3 inches. The machine's rotor features a thick shell for low-vibration cutting that is more precise. The diagonal cutters protect the rotor when driving around corners by preventing abrasion to the bracket edge. It is powered by a 125-hp Deutz diesel engine.
