The Krause Family Foundation is planning to build The Gathering at South Forsyth Arena in Cumming. The mixed-use development will include an 18,000-seat arena and 1,800 housing units, shops and office buildings. The project is contingent on Krause getting a National Hockey League team franchise. MAINE

Central Maine Power Co. is planning to carry out the Aroostook Renewable Gateway Project. The project entails upgrading Section 80, a 115-kV, 160-mile-long transmission line between the Coopers Mill substation in Windsor and the Highland substation in Warren. MISSOURI

NEW YORK

The New York State Dept. of Transportation is planning to rehabilitate the Cross Bronx Expressway (Interstate 95) Viaduct, which crosses over Webster Avenue, Third Avenue and the Metro-North Railroad in the Morrisania neighborhood of Bronx County. The concrete deck will be replaced, and other deteriorated bridge elements will be repaired or replaced. Construction is expected to start in August 2027 and be completed by February 2032. OKLAHOMA

Sapulpa Public Schools is planning to build a new high school on the existing site, which will include classrooms, restrooms, a storm shelter, administrative space, a kitchen and a performing arts center. SOUTH DAKOTA

Riverview Dairy is planning to build Brantford Dairy in Hazel on a 250-acre portion of the Racota Valley Ranch. The facility will hold 12,500 cows and include freestall barns and asphalt feed pads. TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Dept. of General Services is planning to build a public health laboratory at the state’s R.S. Gass Complex in Nashville. The multilevel, 180,000-sq-ft building will be located on a 6- to 7-acre site at the intersection of Ellington Parkway and Hart Lane. It is being designed by Earl Swensson Associates. Turner Construction Co. has been selected as the construction manager at-risk. Construction is expected to start in May 2024 and be completed by June 2026. The project is valued at $130 million. WASHINGTON

Brookfield Properties and Presidio Residential Capital are planning to develop LakePointe Urban Village on a 214-acre site in Covington. The property is zoned for up to 1,750 residences, and the project is approved for 1.32-million sq ft of commercial and mixed-use space. A lake is being constructed, and the development will include open space and trails. KTGY Architects is the designer. Oakpointe Builders LLC and Toll Architecture are the builder-developers. The Minnesota and Wisconsin state transportation departments are evaluating submitted proposals for engineering services to perform an independent peer review of the ongoing preliminary design of the John A. Blatnik Bridge, one of two bridges that connects Duluth, Minn., to Superior, Wis., carrying Interstate 535 over St. Louis Bay and linking I-535 and U.S. Route 53. The Minnesota Dept. of Transportation is the lead agency. The project’s cost, entailing demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new bridge, is estimated at $1.5 billion.
