Nitrile Work Gloves: Cut-Resistant

All four new ANSI/ISEA 105-2016-rated models of Sandy Nitrile gloves come with a 13-gauge, cut-resistant HPPE liner. The gloves’ Nitrile palm coating’s absorption abilities aid with grip in dry, wet and oily conditions. The GL609C and GL610C models also come with a reinforced thumb and TPR. The GL610C glove can be used with touchscreens. Pyramex; www.pyramexsafety.com

Hydrodemolition: New Engine Brings More Power

The Ecosilence 3.0 hydrodemolition power pack is available with engines ranging from 400 hp to 700 hp and can be configured to deliver up to 37,000 psi of water pressure during hydrodemolition. It features several improvements over earlier models, including a redesigned cooling system and options to significantly reduce noise levels during use. The entire power pack fits in a 20-ft container, 3 ft shorter than the previous model. When used with Aquajet’s hydrodemolition robots, the power pack can be used for extended periods to rapidly remove concrete while leaving installed rebar intact. Aquajet; www.aquajet.se

Air Compressor: High Efficiency

The single-stage oil-injected rotary screw XAS 188 air compressor is powered by a Kubota Tier 4 Final, liquid-cooled, 49.6-hp diesel engine. The compressor has an air flow of 189 cu ft per minute at 2.37 gallons per hour, with a 27-gallon fuel tank—for an operating time of more than 11 hours at full load. The air end element has been redesigned with a gear box to reduce power demand and provide greater air flow. The new Xc1004 controller for the compressor is equipped with a battery-disconnect feature and a display showing hours, fuel level, outlet pressure, RPM, machine temperature and voltage. Atlas Copco; www.atlascopco.com

Track Loader: Greater Capacity

The R-Series 60 frame-size compact track loader improves on the lift capacity and lift height of the M series. It has a rated operating capacity ranging from 2,300 lb to 2,450 lb, depending on the model. Lift arms have been redesigned with cast-steel segments to be both stronger and slimmer, according to the manufacturer. The cooling system features a larger capacity radiator and larger fan. The one-piece cab is pressurized and sealed to keep out dirt and dust as well as reduce noise. It’s powered by a 74-hp Bobcat engine, meeting Tier 4 standards without a diesel particulate filter. A 5-Link torsion suspension undercarriage option is available to reduce vibration. Bobcat; www.bobcat.com
