Ohio The City of Columbus is planning to carry out Phase 2 of the Big Walnut Trunk Sewer Extension project. The extension will begin upstream of Shaft #4 and proceed generally in a northerly direction towards Lee Road and then in an easterly direction along Walnut Street to the vicinity of Harlem Road. South Carolina The Richland County Transportation Dept. is planning to widen a 4.67-mile stretch of Broad River Road in Irmo, from Royal River Drive to the Peak Interchange. It will be widened to five lanes between Royal Tower Drive and Dutch Fork Road, and to three lanes between Dutch Fork and the Peak exit. The project is being designed by ICA Inc. Washington The cities of Aberdeen and Hoquiam, which are located along the shore of Grays Harbor and sit between the Wishkah and Hoquiam rivers, are planning to construct the North Shore Levee. The 6-mile-long levee will be around 3 to 5 ft high, and will consist of a combination of earthen berms, concrete walls and sheet pile walls The levee will provide coastal flood protection, improve the storm drainage systems so that they more effectively collect and convey runoff from intense storm events, and significantly reduce the economic burden on the community caused by flooding. The scope of work includes a four-story rigid steel frame, AR-500 steel plate, ballistic block and ballistic panel live-fire facility capable of up to 7.62-mm rounds at high volume and a four-story rigid steel frame with AR-500 steel plate, ballistic block and ballistic panel live-fire stair tower capable of up to 7.62-mm rounds at high volume.
