Grapple Attachment: Jobsite Cleanup

Deere has introduced a line of scrap grapple buckets for skid steers. Well suited for jobsite cleanup and material handling applications, the GS66B, GS72B, GS78B and GS84B grapple buckets feature large grapple openings and optional sidewalls. Improvements over Deere’s earlier-model grapple buckets include hardened pins for greater durability and hydraulic quick-couplers with better hose routing. Tower Cranes: Improved Load Capacities

The Comansa 21LC660 and 21LC750 flat-top tower cranes have been updated with new load capacities. Both cranes now boast maximum load capacities of 50 metric tons. All three versions of each crane, which were previously rated at 24, 36 and 48 metric tons, have now been upgraded to 25, 37.5 and 50 metric tons, respectively. The cranes incorporate design improvements found in the Comansa 21LC1050, including wire rope with a thinner diameter and a lighter trolley-hook set. These changes not only improve the maximum load capacity, but also improve the crane’s load chart at all radii, including the jib-end load. Comansa; www.comansa.com

Motor Grader: Full 2D Cross Slope Grade Control

Cat’s 120MG and 140MG motor graders feature Cat Grade Control with an option for full 2D cross-slope for finer control of grading. The motor graders boast 10% improved fuel economy compared to earlier models, according to the manufacturer. The operator cab features either full joystick controls or a traditional steering wheel and levers. The windows of the cab have been redesigned to improve the operator’s sight line of the blade edge. Both motor graders feature all-wheel drive, which provides better traction when working in wet conditions or clearing snow. Caterpillar; www.cat.com

Compact Loader: High Pin Height for Truck Loading

The Toro Dingo TXL compact utility loader boasts a rated operating capacity of 2,000 lb and a hinge-pin load height of just over 10 ft. The Dingo’s telescopic arm allows it to perform tasks such as backfilling behind retaining walls or dumping material in the center of a truck bed. The machine’s small profile allows it to maneuver in spaces that would not be accessible to larger equipment with full cabs, and it has a linkage that is compatible with most standard skid-steer attachments. The console features joystick controls for easy manipulation of hydraulic attachments while operating the telescopic arms. Toro; www.toro.com
