Alabama INEOS Phenol is planning to expand its phenol production facility in Theodore. Hawaii Cellana LLC is planning to construct a commercial-scale algae cultivation facility on a 54-acre site adjacent to its demonstration-scale facility in Kailua-Kona. The project scope includes design and construction of open algae cultivation troughs and raceways, and purchase and installation of closed photobioreactors and extraction equipment. The facility will produce 700 to 800 metric tons of proprietary algae strains per year for use in the production of oils, animal feed and biofuel. New Hampshire Rudarpa Inc. is planning to construct a landfill gas processing plant in Bethlehem. The project scope includes construction of a building, and purchase and installation of gas separation, purification, compression and metering equipment. The plant will have the capacity to process 475,000 dekatherms of gas per year for delivery via truck to Liberty Utilities’ planned decompressor station in Concord. West Virginia US Methanol Corp. is considering constructing a second methanol plant at an unselected site in the Charleston area. The Liberty Two project scope includes construction of equipment foundations;  erection of structural steel and storage tanks; reconstruction of process units with steam methane reformers, catalytic reactors and distillation systems; and purchase and installation of chillers, and gas compression and purification equipment.
