Heavy Equipment Tires: Wide Range of Styles
Camso has introduced several new tires in its multipurpose construction tire lineup. The MPT 793S tire features triangular gaps in the sidewall for better stability in different environments, while the MPT 753 features a nondirectional tread pattern for better durability on mixed and hard surfaces. Fastening Tool: Battery-Powered
The BX 3 02 battery-actuated fastening tool uses a spring-belt mechanism to store and deliver energy, which, according to the manufacturer, results in performance comparable to powder-actuated fasteners. The tool runs on Hilti’s 22V-battery platform and can hold up to 30 nails. Well-suited for fastening interior drywall track or waterproofing membrane to concrete, the fastening tool is also compatible with Hilti’s Bluetooth tracking app for recording performance data. Rough Terrain Crane: New Control Software
The Terex RT 100US rough terrain crane has a 154-ft main boom and a travel width of less than 10 ft. The 100-ton-class crane features the 1C-1 control system, based on Demag crane software, which provides immediate access to the crane’s settings through a cab-mounted color touchscreen. Four steering modes offer greater maneuverability in busy jobsites and a tilting cabin offers better views of the hook and boom during operation. The PL61 pipelayer has a maximum load capacity of 40,000 lb. Powered by a 130 hp Cat C4.4 ACERT engine, the 20-ton-class pipelayer has a shipping width of only 128 in. for easy transport to jobsites. The cab features a load-moment indicator and a rear-view camera, and both the open and enclosed cab options feature full ROPS. The PL61 boasts more responsive steering than earlier models and better performance when using low-quality fuels.
