Australia Hong Kong-based developer Tony Fung is planning to build the Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort in Cairns. The resort will include nine luxury hotels containing 3,750 rooms, 1,180 apartments, 130 villas, a casino, a 25,000-seat stadium, a 485,000-sq-ft convention and exhibition center, two 2,500-seat theaters, an aquarium and a golf course. Canada The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology is planning to build the NAIT Centre for Applied Technologies in Edmonton.
