Handheld Torch
Spectrum 625 is the company's first portable air plasma arc cutter with a rated cut of 1/ 2 in. on mild steel. The unit weighs 57 lb and can cut at a rate of 16 in. per minute on 1/ 2 -in. steel using a handheld torch. With a rated output of 40 amps/140VDC at 50% duty cycle, this model can sever steel up to 7/ 8 in. thick and also cut 5/ 8 -in. steel at a rate of up to 10 ipm. Its Wind Tunnel Technology, Fan-On-Demand feature helps prevent abrasive dust and metal particles from damaging internal components. Also, an electronic pilot arc controller extends tip life by boosting pilot current only when needed for a strong arc transfer. Applications include light construction, maintenance and more. Stores More Than 200 Individual Tests
The James Vu-Con system introduces the latest microcomputer, ultrasonic technology for rapid, reliable impact echo analysis of concrete and masonry. Based on the use of low-frequency, impact-generated stress waves that are reflected off of external surfaces and internal flaws, the system can be used to make accurate, non-destructive measurements of concrete slabs. The equipment can store more than 200 individual tests with time and date indications. NDT James Instruments Inc.; 800/426-6500;

Shore D Hardness of 60
This two-step, pourable, moisture-insensitive, semi-rigid epoxy is designed for a variety of joint-sealant applications. It is a gray color and available in 1 and 10-gallon units. When cured, Sealtight Rezi-Weld Flex offers a Shore D Hardness of 60, the maker says. The product was developed for use as a joint filler-sealant to be used in narrow saw cuts, preformed or construction joints in interior concrete floors subjected to high load bearing, wear or impact conditions. The epoxy is also suitable for filling or repairing random cracks caused by spalling or shrinkage, as a flexible adhesive for non-structural projects, or as a traffic-loop and control wire joint filler.
