The Utah Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors recently recognized member companies for achievements in workplace safety. The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards (STEP) recognize companies who exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee.
Established in 1989, the STEP process serves as an important tool for ABC members to self-audit their safety performance and consistently build upon safety training programs and gain recognition for outstanding efforts.
The 2013 National Safety Excellence Awards for the ABC Utah Chapter were presented April 17 during the 32nd annual Excellence in Construction banquet at the Little America Hotel, Salt Lake City.
The following ABC member companies received STEP awards for the achievements in safety.
