CALIFORNIA Gafcon Inc. has been awarded a contract by the University of California at Los Angeles to provide pre-construction and construction-management services for Phase 2 of the Weyburn Terrace Student Housing Project. The two buildings will total 275,000 sq ft. CALIFORNIA Synergy Electric Co. has been awarded a $9.4-million firm-fixed-price task order under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract for the installation of photovoltaic systems at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, located in Oceanside. The work entails full engineering, procurement, installation and testing of a solar-power generating facility with a peak power production of 1,445 kW.
