Mark Layman has been named chairman and CEO at Balfour Beatty Construction Services US following the retirement of Robert Van Cleave, outgoing chairman and CEO, who retired at the end of 2013.

Layman has served in various roles, including chief financial officer, executive vice president and for the past two years as president.

Phillip Bell has been promoted to CEO of Bob Moore Construction. He joined the firm as a project manager in 1979. He was promoted to vice president and became a partner in 1986. Bell assumed his previous role of president in 1997.

Dan Noble has been named president and CEO of HKS Inc., just the sixth person in the firm's 75-year history to hold that position, the company says. Noble joined HKS in 1983 as an intern architect and moved up the ranks through the commercial and health care design studios. In 2001, he was elected a principal and shareholder. In 2009, he was elected to the HKS executive committee. Noble served as the director of design for the firm from 2001 through 2013.

 

SpawGlass has announced several promotions: Michael Emmons has been promoted to chief operating officer. Emmons has spent his entire 29-year career with SpawGlass and most recently was president of the company's Houston region.

Brandon Meyers has been promoted to president of the company's Houston region.

Roger Berry was promoted to president of the firm's senior living and campus housing division.

Keith Giddens has been promoted to president of BakerTriangle Prefab. He was previously director of virtual design and construction.

Bryan Craft has been promoted to president of the firm's Oklahoma office in Tulsa. He was previously vice president of its San Antonio office.
