Baird, Hampton and Brown Inc. announced several promotions. Konstantine Bakintas has been elevated to president of the firm; Bill Baird, founding principal, has been promoted to chairman; Ken Randall, previously lead for the electrical group, is now chief operations officer; and Mike McIlraith, a mechanical group leader, is now senior vice president. Also joining the firm as principals are Ian Bost and Richard Watters.

Woodbine Development Corp. announced several changes to its team. Jim Cihak has been promoted to chief financial officer, following the retirement of Greg Mowatt, the previous CFO. John Davis has joined the firm as vice president of asset management, a role previously held by Cihak. Davis had worked at a private equity firm specializing in hotel ownership.

Joseph L. Mira, an experienced construction attorney, has joined Ford Nassen as a shareholder in the Dallas office. He has spent the last 17 years as a construction attorney with law firms in Dallas.

Steve Kopp has joined FKP Architects as senior planner and vice president. Most recently, Kopp served as project architect and medical planner for the 200,000-sq-ft renovation of Children's Hospital of San Antonio, a project for the Christus Santa Rosa Health System.

HNTB Corp. announced several personnel changes. Steve Lowry has been named vice president and senior adviser focusing on innovative delivery. Lowry is currently serving Texas Dept. of Transportation's strategic projects division with a focus on the Grand Parkway project in Houston.

The firm also added three engineers to its procurement services team in Texas: Eddie Church, Dane Font and John (Whit) Friend. They are all based in the firm's Austin office.

Peter D. McKone has joined Pape-Dawson Engineers Inc. as vice president of environmental services. McKone was previously associated with the North Central Texas Interagency Stream Team.

Skanska has announced staff changes in Texas. Boris Hornjak has joined the Houston office as vice president of operations. In his new role, Hornjak will be responsible for operations and execution of large-scale projects, primarily commercial high-rise buildings in Houston.

Chris Hillyer has been promoted to preconstruction executive director in the San Antonio and Rio Grande Valley regions.

Raylena Browning has been promoted to preconstruction executive director, responsible for the Houston market.
