Selected as rising industry stars, ENR’s 2022 National Top 20 Under 40 have their eyes set on the future and see a sense of urgency to embrace innovative solutions for industry challenges.

From growing up in a rural town or following in the footsteps of a parent to tinkering with robots or working on helicopter engines, every one of this year’s ENR California and Northwest’s Top Young Professionals shares a common love and curiosity for the built environment. They also have a story to tell.
The 20 individuals selected for recognition as ENR MidAtlantic’s Top Young Professionals likely never imagined that their careers would coincide with a protracted international health crisis that would upend nearly every facet of daily life and present new and continually evolving challenges for their fields.
This group of 20 architects, engineers, project managers, marketers and entrepreneurs is leading the way for the next generation of AEC industry professionals.
This year’s group, which include three national 20 Under 40 honorees, impresses with their dedication to industry advancement, their contribution of professional skill and passion to their communities, and their support for diversity, equity and inclusion.
In 2021, the Southeast construction industry needed the best efforts of these talented up-and-coming leaders to not only overcome the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, but also to address massive challenges such as water quality and the coming impacts of climate change.
