Trina Solar Co.'s selection of installation partners for the solar photovoltaic project will help keep the project on target for completion within the next two years.

Clean energy developer announced is has closed on financing for three solar photovoltaic projects in South Africa with a combined capacity of 273 MW, enabling construction to begin in the first quarter of 2024.

Six private renewable energy developers have signed 20-year power-purchase agreements with South Africa's state-owned utility Eskom for 13 solar photovoltaic projects across the country.

The project will add a total of 199MW of battery-storage capacity at carefully selected sites across the country to improve reliability of public power utility Eskom's transmission grid.

The settlement settles pending investigations and prosecution against ArcelorMittal South Africa Ltd.
