The new home of the Nashville Soccer Club, the largest soccer-specific stadium in the U.S. and Canada, overcame pandemic-related issues and even a tornado that destroyed more than 500 light fixtures to finish below budget and seven weeks early, allowing the team to host its first event of the season on May 1, 2022.
Completed in August 2021 on-time and on budget at a cost of $45 million, the 238-room, eight-story hotel is just blocks from the Phoenix Convention Center; near Chase Field; Talking Stick Resort Arena, home court of the Phoenix Suns professional basketball team; and shopping, restaurants and cultural amenities such as the landmark Orpheum Theater.
Work is underway by Mortenson to repower the 60-MW Oasis wind farm in Mojave, Calif., for renewable energy developer and operator Terra-Gen. After acquiring the plant in 2019, Terra-Gen brought in Mortenson as its construction partner to repower the facility, which first operated in 2004.
