Triton Construction has been named by ENR New York as regional Contractor of the Year.

The Manhattan-based firm will be featured in the July issue along with the region's Top Contractor rankings and will be recognized at the ENR New York Regional Best Projects Awards on Nov. 17.

Triton has been providing construction services in New York for more than 20 years. The firm was founded by two former Turner Construction employees. Several current employees have been trained by legacy firms such as Turner. “Our employees are carefully recruited, trained, and well-seasoned," the firm says. "We strive to empower them through growth opportunities and strong personnel development policies.”

Some of Triton’s projects include:

  1. 101 Lincoln: This mixed-use, market-rate residential building built next to and above the CSX rail line occupies an entire city block at the foot of the Third Avenue Bridge.  It is a transit-connected destination on the Harlem River that had historically served as a freight-transfer depot for boats and trucks. The property includes 500 ft of waterfront frontage and features a 25,500 sq ft waterfront public access area. The building integrates its surroundings with multiple entry points: a residential entry courtyard from Lincoln Avenue for pedestrians and vehicles, a residential lobby entrance at Bruckner near Third Avenue, and retail access from all four corners.
  2. 1245 Broadway: The 22-story boutique Class A office building is at the center of the NoMad district. Located at the corner of 31st Street and Broadway, the project comprises approximately 200,000 sq ft of office space, with retail on the ground floor. Inspired by Manhattan’s classical 19th and 20th century architecture, 1245 Broadway was designed by global architectural firm SOM.
  3. 42-06 Orchard Avenue: The mixed-use, 69-story tower has 798,000 sq ft of affordable and market-rate Housing, with amenities and retail, and a separate two-story parking garage with 200 spaces and a 45,000 sq ft landscaped deck. The building structure is cast-in-place concrete with an overall height of 800 ft from grade. The building façade is comprised of brick and large windows on the five-story tower podium, a unitized window wall system on the tower above the fifth floor, and a brick and mesh combination on the two-story parking garage.

Triton ranked No. 17 on the 2022 ENR New York Top Contractor list with approximately $400 million in regional revenue. Check out the July issue of ENR New York to learn where Triton lands on this year’s rankings and more about the firm.
