I picked up a sample of these earplugs shaped like little pistons at this year's World of Concrete. Since I last wrote about the stylish options in high-visibility work clothes, here is another fun PPE option.

The tips are made of comfy, noise deadening foam that looks like a piston. The “connecting rods” are flexible plastic. Because they stick out of the side of your head a little, from a distance they slightly resemble Frankenstein bolts.

The “Pistonz” come in a case of 400 that retails for about $300. You can order them with or without a cord, says 3M. Some dealers may sell them in individual packets.
