Know someone between 13 and 18 who likes to invent…or use engineering and physics skills…or can design a Rube Goldberg machine??

OR…are you someone who could mentor a student in a really fun design competition…and help him or her win a free trip to New York City to see the October 1 premiere, with the stars, of George Clooney's new movie-Gravity???

THEN, have we got a contest for you—the Gravity Design Challenge!
BUT YOU HAVE TO ACT FAST!

STUDENTS—You need to design and build a household space machine BY Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 10
MENTORS—You need to complete a 2-hour mentoring course BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, and then volunteer one hour per week on line through the end of the competition period.

Inventors and mentors of the winning entry receive a ticket to the movie premiere and red carpet photo with stars, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock!

The competition is being run by Iridescent, a science education non-profit group with the mission to students' science, technology and engineering (STEM) skills and show that knowledge is empowering.

It is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research, with assistance from the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).

Don't waste another second! Let everyone see your design smarts!
