Pinkard Construction Co. of Lakewood completed construction in March of the new $16.2-million Benedict Park Place Block 4b in downtown Denver two weeks ahead of schedule. The two-building, mixed-income residential apartments in the Park Avenue West/24th Avenue neighborhood is the fourth phase of a nine-phase affordable, mixed-income development in Park Avenue by the Housing Authority of the city and county of Denver. Pinkard worked with in situ DESIGN to provide complete construction management/general contracting services. The Idaho Dept. of Transportation has selected Wadsworth Brothers Construction of Draper, Utah, to reconstruct the Slate Creek Bridge on State Road 75 over the Salmon River at milepost 213. The bridge is located approximately nine miles west of Clayton. Construction is slated to begin this month. Photo: IDOT The new Slate Creek Bridge will be constructed 38 ft upstream, adjacent to the current bridge. The original bridge was erected in 1938 and is vital to east/west travel between Stanley and Challis, Idaho. The bridge was showing signs of deterioration and was recommended for replacement. UDOT began installing in March the new electronic payment system for the Interstate 15 Express Lanes . When installation is complete, the electronic payment system will run from Lehi Main Street to 2300 North in Salt Lake City and from State Street in Farmington to the south Layton interchange.
