The Texas Water Development Board will loan $104.6 million from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the Trinity River Authority – Central Regional Wastewater System to finance wastewater system improvements. div id="articleExtrasA" div id="articleExtrasB" div id="articleExtras" The funds will be used to rehabilitate existing buildings and treatment components at the existing 162 million-gallons-per-day wastewater treatment plant, as well as approximately 33,440 linear ft of pipe. Dallas-based Turner Construction Co. completed 14 school projects in time for the start of the 2010 school year in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The projects totaled $43 million. div id="articleExtrasA" div id="articleExtrasB" div id="articleExtras" Turner completed $15 million of renovations at five schools for the Dallas Independent School District. It also completed the $14-million Forest Middle School and $13.9 million of renovations to eight schools for the Fort Worth ISD.

Irving-based Fluor Corp. was awarded the Project Hijau Gasoil Phase-1 by Shell Refining Co. FOM Malaysia. The new diesel-processing unit project is in Port Dickson, Malaysia. div id="articleExtrasA" div id="articleExtrasB" div id="articleExtras" Fluor will perform engineering, procurement and construction management services as a follow-up to its previous front-end engineering and design work. The award value was undisclosed. The project is expected to peak at approximately 650 craft and professional employees.
Dallas-based KAI Texas increased its Fort Worth office space by relocating 777 Main to 1412 Magnolia. div id="articleExtrasA" div id="articleExtrasB" div id="articleExtras" KAI added a location in Fort Worth five years ago when the firm began providing professional services for Tarrant County and the Fort Worth Independent School District. The firm is currently serving as project manager for Tarrant County’s new downtown jail as well as the expansion and renovation of the county’s medical examiners’ offices. It is also completing four projects for FWISD.
The U.S. Navy selected San Antonio-based Cram Roofing Co. and five other contractors for $100 million in general roofing projects in North Carolina.
