Product Snapshot: Bauma China Showcase

As one of the largest equipment trade shows in the world, Bauma China attracts many firms from outside China.

Spain-based crane maker Linden Comansa was at the show via its Chinese subsidiary Comansa Jie, displaying its 11CJ132-6t Flat-top Tower Crane. The first model in the new CJ1100 series, the tower crane has a freestanding height of 188 ft and can go up to 354 ft with extensions. It has an adjustable jib length of 98 ft to 196 ft. The tower crane has a maximum load capacity of 6 tons and is able to lift 1.45 tons at the jib end using the included PowerLift feature.

Volvo Construction Equipment recently announced its subsidiary SDLG will take over production of its motor graders and backhoe loaders, and a few of SDLG's machines were at the show.

Liugong unveiled its largest-ever wheel loader, the CLG8128H, at Bauma China, held Nov. 25-28 in Shanghai. The mammoth machine has a dumping height of 13 ft and a 9.1-cu-yd-capacity bucket, with a rated load capacity of 13 tons. The wheel loader features an adjustable blade and has a Dana C9762 torque converter. The CLG8128H boasts a breakout force of 80,931 lb-ft and can reach its full loading height in only 7.4 seconds.

China-based manufacturers are seeing some overproduction issues but that didn't stop SDLG from showcasing two new concept models at Bauma China. The L9120F Wheel Loader and the LG6460E Excavator concept machines were the centerpiece of a display that included eight other wheel loaders and eight other excavators.
