The York YVWA Water-Cooled Screw Chiller features a variable-speed drive that allows for more efficient energy usage. It uses HFC-124A refrigerant, which has zero ozone depletion potential and no phase-out date. The screw chiller is able to handle a higher pressure lift than a centrifugal chiller, allowing it to be used in both thermal storage and heat-pump applications. The Liebherr 65 K Fast-Erecting Crane has a lifting capacity of 1.4 metric tons at 40 meters, with a maximum lifting capacity of 4.5 metric tons. Loads are moved using a pure two-fall operation with no re-reeving. The 65 K crane can be transported to a site using only two trucks, including its ballast. A reduced transport length and redesigned superstructure allows for the 65 K to be erected close to a structure. Liebherr; 757-245-5251; www.liebherr.com

The Bomag Economizer provides real-time measurement of soil stiffness on soil compactors. An acceleration sensor measures the stiffness of the target material across the entire compacted area. The level of compaction is indicated by a ring of 10 yellow LEDs that allows the operator to react to changing soil conditions. The indicator lights also provide warning of over-compaction, soft spots and low working frequency. The Economizer is a standard feature on the Bomag BPR100/80D Reversible Plate compactor and is available as an option on the BPR70/70D, BPR55/65D and BP45/55D models. John Deere has added four new models to the K-Series of crawler dozers. The 550K, 650K, 700K and 750K crawler dozers feature interim Tier 4 emissions-compliant engines using EGR technology with exhaust filters. The Deere engines are also able to maintain adequate oil flow to machine systems when operating on slopes up to 45°. The K-Series also features changes to the operator cab, including greater visibility of the blade and reduced noise levels. John Deere Construction & Forestry Division; www.johndeere.com
