The Thermal Integrity Profiler uses the heat generated by curing cement to asses the quality of cast-in-place concrete foundations. The TIP can be used to test drilled shafts, bored piles, augered cast-in-place, continuous flight auger piles and drilled displacement piles. Variations in temperature in concrete piles can be measured to also estimate the actual shape of the shaft including the thickness of the concrete cover.
