New Video Podcast Series Debuts on ENR.com

There’s a new video podcast series on ENR.com’s multimedia block. Groundbreakers, as it’s called, will be hosted by ENR Senior Editor Emell Derra Adolphus. Each month, he will talk with C-suite company leaders, public agency chiefs and association executives across the architecture, engineering and construction industry about breaking news, industry challenges and successes and how his interview subjects’ achievements have shaped the world today.
As senior editor for ENR Top Firm rankings and analysis, Adolphus spends much of his time sifting and sorting through issues faced by these leading voices and reviewing their many insights—aiming to demystify the aura that surrounds their problem solving. “There is so much mystique around CEOs, owner operations and the high-level decision-making,” he says. “ENR Groundbreakers podcast was created to be a space where we can break down some of the mystery while digging deeper into conversations about what comes next in this rapidly shifting industry.”
Guests will come with news to break, and discuss the process behind those actions, says Adolphus. “Our audience will get to see a different side of our guests, in-person and on-camera.”
Check out the first Groundbreakers video podcast:
Former Trump Organization construction executive Barbara Res says President Donald Trump’s leadership style as a real estate mogul in the 1980s and 1990s was “not bad” when it came to elevating women into high-ranking project management positions. “It was a big job with big responsibilities,” Res says about her role in building Trump Tower, adding that it opened doors for other women in construction.
