Mitra Chem is planning to construct a lithium iron phosphate cathode manufacturing plant in Mountain Valley. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; and purchase and installation of chemical storage tanks, conveyors, and storage, mixing, coating and drying equipment. Bechtel Corp. has been selected to provide front-end engineering design services for the project and will likely be selected to provide engineering, procurement and construction services. BrightFarms Inc. is planning to construct four hydroponic greenhouses on a 192.6-acre site in Macon. The phased project scope includes construction of four 370,000-sq-ft greenhouse structures and a 179,000-sq-ft headhouse; and purchase and installation of climate control, water recycling, irrigation, conveying, harvesting, vegetable cleaning, sorting, refrigeration and packaging equipment. The project scope includes construction of a 360,000-sq-ft building with a 36-ft ceiling height; and purchase and installation of dock equipment for 56 loading docks. A joint venture between Manekin LLC and Turnbridge Equities is developing the building.
