Hwashin America Corp. is planning to expand its electric vehicle components campus at the Greenville Industrial Park in Greenville. The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations; erection of a 30,000-sq-ft metal building; renovation of the 196,000-sq-ft former Joysun/Key Safety building; installation of welding, assembly and Ecoat equipment; and purchase and installation of supporting equipment and systems. Dunn Building Co. LLC has been selected to provide design-build services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in late July or August 2022. The estimated EPC cost is $13 million. CALIFORNIA

SCiFi Foods, a start-up company formerly known as Artemys Foods, is planning to construct a cultured meat pilot plant and research and development facility at an unselected site in the San Francisco area. The project scope includes fit-out of a 100,000-sq-ft building with cleanrooms and laboratory space; and purchase and installation of stainless steel tanks and piping, 20,000-liter bioreactors, and refrigeration, mixing and packaging equipment. Construction is expected to begin in the late third or fourth quarter of 2022. SCiFi Foods will use the plant to produce burgers from plant-based meat and cultivated beef cells. PENNSYLVANIA

Axium Packaging Inc. is planning to construct a rigid plastic container manufacturing plant on a 7.5-acre site in Bethlehem. The project scope includes construction of a 136,000-sq-ft building; laying of track and rail for a rail spur; purchase and installation of resin storage silos, blow molding and injection molding machines, and packaging and loading dock equipment for eight loading docks. Hanover Engineering Associates, Inc. will provide civil engineering services and SAGE Design Build Inc. has been selected to provide design-build services. Construction is expected to begin in the late third or fourth quarter of 2022. Axium will use the plant to produce water bottles and other rigid plastic containers.
